Students owe life lessons to hostel life

Aurangabad, March 7, 2018: Hostel life has taught students some of the most important life lessons. Many students have given credit to their hostel life for the success they have achieved. Many hostel owners are proud that the students who have stayed in their hostel have made great achievements in their life. Student of many departments have said that hostel life is essential for students to learn few things.

“I have learnt more than a thousand lessons by staying in hostel. If hostel life would not have been there in my life then I would have not achieved this much.” Said a computer engineer who is working at L&T Company. Hostel life develops many skills in one’s life and it is really essential for students to experience it. Hostel life teaches students how to adjust and fight in different situations. Many students have filed a complaint against the owner of their respective hostels but later realised that they were the only rules which have helped them to gain success.

Prakash Jadhav, 4^th year student of Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College said,” Hostel life, for many students, is a punishment but for me it was a life changing scenario. I understood that I won’t get the same type of people always and that I’ll have to work accordingly. When I was new to hostel life, I never understood the importance of it but today, I feel lucky that I have experienced hostel life as well.” Prakash also said that whenever a student stays away from parents he understands that life is not simple and that until now he had been living in comfort zone created by the parents.

Hostel owners said that many students who come up to live on their own usually understand the importance of parents and their hard work only after they start experiencing bachelor life. Many students have gone on wrong track after staying at hostels as well and many students have achieved great heights in life. Usually hostel students do need guidance at times but once they become mature enough to take their own decisions, they start living up to the expectations of parents and value the living-at-home concept. Students understand that coming out of the comfort zone created is an essential thing for learning how to compete in the real world and how to improvise by self-analysis.
